Ack ack! Ack! Ack-Ack!

Ack! Ack ack ack, ack Ack!--Okay, so that gets old very quickly. Anyhow, as you can probably tell my latest Fimo project is a Martian from Mars Attacks! ; a film I adore no matter how ridiculous (usually intentionally) it is. This little guy took forever due to the collar. Trying to create a hard form in soft clay is no easy picnic. I ended up with the usual frustrated artist's attitude of "eh, that'll do", but I am overall pleased with him. This is the first of my Fimo projects to have any amount of paint as I have used light green and purple washes over the base yellow skin just to give that subtle blending of tone you see on the actual aliens.
Until next time: Ack ack ack!

Photo Thursdays!

Urban Photography

To some the urban environment is just a mass of concrete and despair, and indeed it can be this in many occasions, however with the vibrancy of film photography I want to find the beauty in it all...

I was unsure about uploading this next picture after the event with Grenfell Tower in London, however this is a picture of Windrush in Oxford  taken a couple of months before the fact, and I still feel that it is a nice photo. I want to upload it here as a tribute to all those poor people who suffered in the fire, and as an image to give my hope and wishes to all the families effected.
